Convalescing
I’ve always taken the idea that you should STAY HOME while you’re sick very seriously. I remember getting pissed at ATDP students for coming to class when they’re ill, because not only are they prolonging their own recovery, they endanger all the other students if they come. (And I’m pretty sure someone got ME sick at one point, so now you’re even thwarting lesson plans!)
I never hesitated to stay away from my own classes, since I trusted myself to catch up as necessary. Somehow, though, it feels a little different, now that I’m working. I suppose the difference is in the fact that I’m actually getting paid (vs school, where I’m technically paying them)… so it feels just a tad bit more sacrilegious.
Nevertheless… I stayed home for two days. The first day because I was obeying the fever-after-24-hours rule, the second because I basically felt like even if I did go, I wasn’t in any condition where I would actually get any work done… so I may as well stay home and veg.
