This interview was the reason I decided I wanted to see Avatar in the first place. Thought I would dig it up to show my parents. My mom immediately phoned me after getting out of the theater, demanding to know how the film had been made, but I didn’t remember all the details from the interview.
In retrospect, re-watching it… it didn’t seem super revolutionary at first, but this time I caught the tidbit about coverage, which is actually amazingly important as far as just saving time and takes and reducing footage. So that’s definitely something.
