I should really whine about how I’m blocked more often… more often than not, I end up coming with a solution shortly afterwards. O.o

At any rate, I finally got past this rather severe problem I was having in MTOS. I’m converting the satinroses site to MTOS and was having trouble figuring out how to get the categories to display like I wanted…

And then I came up with a solution that, while completely retarded, does work… so there we go. Afterwards I was compelled to make the following image. I was convinced that WordPress had a one-up against MT in this particular respect… doing what I wanted in WP had been a lot easier than MT for once. But in retrospect, while I was looking at the actual code of WP… it’s pretty obscure too. ::lol:: So I dunno. Lesser of two evils?

I might note that in order to do what I wanted in MT, I had to go with a completely different algorithm and not the more intelligent one that I was able to use with WP. Originally I was trying to duplicate the same algorithm in MT and it seemed like I would be able to, but for the fact that things were not printing the way I expected for completely inexplicable reasons … frankly, it seemed like a bug. I guess that’s the trouble with open source… ;_;
