No rest for the weary

Today has just been a terrible trial. I’ll spare you the gruesome details and just note a couple things.

  1. UPS doesn’t appear to have an early morning delivery time around here. Extremely aggravating. But the cards look nice. Except for… well. Not gonna say… maybe no one will notice… >__>;
  2. I think Todd was pissed off at me for not coming at 12:00 like everyone else, but I really feel like I had no choice. Not to mention, how can you get pissed at the sick girl? -_-; But yeah, I must have looked healthier than I sounded, cause even though he was gracious about finding me emergency supplies, I kinda got the impression that he resented it.
  3. If you ever live on your own, own a thermometer. Apparently I was running around today with a 102 fever, and I didn’t even realize I was that hot. (felt warm, yes, but had chills… so still overloaded on the layers.)
  4. Art “exhibit” is set up more or less. I have a picture, but am too tired to upload it.
  5. UCSD clinic closes at 4:30. I finished around 5:00. Crud.
  6. But now I know where Thornton Hospital is, not that I’ll ever need to go in the future. -_-
  7. It’s not strep. Dammit all to hell… no quick and easy “cure” for me. -_- It took them an hour to develop the culture, btw, or whatever the hell it is they do… they let me stay in the room and nap while waiting. >_>;
  8. Went to grocery store afterwards and stocked up on NyQuil and DayQuil and I am definitely going to bed soon. -_-

speaking of NyQuil.. my last flu, like just a month ago, was the first time I ever took NyQuil. (in the past I used to take Tylenol, recent couple years I avoid suppressant medicines altogether unless I absolutely need them)

OMG… I knew it was going to make me sleepy, so yeah I did take it at night and all… but man, it literally made my faint, totally pass out, almost right after taking it. I felt like I fainted and just lost senses at all until the next morning. Does this happen to everyone or is it just me because I never took it before?

Yeah, uh… last night was the first time I tried NyQuil too, having heard of its miraculous sleep inducing powers. But I was hella sleepy BEFORE taking it already… so I’m not really sure if it was the NyQuil talking or just me.

But it didn’t really work as beautifully as I hoped… I woke up several times and each time, in a lot of pain and with a great deal of confusion… having no idea what time it is or anything >\_>;

So I dunno. ::shrug::

May i ask…….what did it turn out to be? (with your illness not being strep)

I have been doing some research on a particular illness (explain later)….and was blown away by your title above….”dimensional vortex”! That term happens to relate to what i have been seriously looking at for just over a year now. I kid you not. I’m sure that is just a wild coincidence though. I can explain that another time too!
I found this by searching “reoccurring fever”.
Have you noticed similar symptoms (fever/chills)…even mild… running in a 2 week pattern? Were you sick around the first of the month and again around the middle of month?
Just curious.
