The return of Hell Week
8:36 AM | "Back for the morning", Neja
work
Well, whaddu you know… haven’t really had one of these in a long time, have I? Here’s a list of the stuff that I REALLY NEED to get done this week…
- Work on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. At some point (probably today), have to check in at front office and sign termination of employment papers… this is gonna be my last week (and I notified them at the beginning of last week).
- 160b meeting on Wednesday
- Need to have a small spiel written out for approval, that might end up being on a sheet of paper at the show or something… for explanatory purposes. You know, those little things descriptions that you read on a mini-plaque thing in an art gallery? yeah.
- Need to have something started with processing >_<;
- Need to get some details of the art show hammered out
- NO ONE is taking responsibility for joint details of the show… it has no name, no postcard, no nothing. -_- I tried my hand a couple times at doing a postcard design… didn’t really like anything I came up with, but push is coming to shove and I probably really have to do this myself, even if it’s going to be crappy.
- Candy finally got back to us with news about all the stuff we asked her to reserve for our use and … some of the news, at least for me, is not great. There’s no extra projector for one thing… so I have to try and get one, otherwise revise my exhibit idea. I also have to go in and figure out how to get wireless onto the tower that she’s gotten for me. oi.
- Need to e-mail our Calit2 contacts to see if I can find a computer desk that isn’t in use. If there isn’t one, need to start contacting the res-halls in colleges on campus to see if there’s a free desk that I can use. -_-
- Scholar’s Day presentation
- Friday, 10 minutes, in front of non-art human beings. oh god.
- have to … well, basically everything. Write outline, make up slides (yum powerpoint), should probably practice it a couple times so that it’s smooth and doesn’t go over time limit… x_x;
At least this is definitely it. The Scholar’s Day thing (which I didn’t realize until now that I haven’t even written about yet, whoops) is the thing that has me in a real panic… once I get past that, I think I’ll be freaking out less… maybe. -_-
Sooooo ready to go home! >_<
[edit] great. and I fsked up my (right) ankle too. ;_;
Yes! Practice, practice, practice. Get it all down on your myelin sheath. ;-) Steve Jobs’ secret to his great keynotes is practicing them, after all.
No need to panic, dear. Or maybe just a smidgen… nothing focuses the mind quite like the prospect of the guillotine. ::chuckle::
