Well, here I am… updating my weblog at work, which is something I swore I’d try to avoid at all costs. -_- Hah… what human willpower? (though I was apparently already logged in… so I must’ve already done it once before… :P )

My excuse is that I didn’t sleep well last night. I had a terrible dream about huge cockroaches crawling around in my deteriorating room… or what was implied as my room… and getting onto my clothes and in my hair. Maybe one of the more menacing dreams that I’ve had in my life ever, where my mood was extremely repulsed with a tinge of genuine fear. So I’m rather tired and fidgety today, with a short attention span.

In addition, I wasn’t really given much work to do today. The guy I usually report to went out on a business trip to Alabama (O_o) and he took with him the one controller I was using to implement support with… so that’s out, now. After I was done with that, I was supposed to learn the Unreal Engine… which is what I’m doing now, but…

They gave me a book. A really fat one. And let’s just say that me and fat manuals just do not get along.

I’m progressing through it, while simultaneously playing with the editor… so I’m learning, but it’s slow. And I’m very easily distracted from relatively boring reading material. The book’s pretty good for its type, but I’m just … not a textbook person. Oh well. I always wanted to learn the Unreal Editor… just wish they had video tutorials instead, like they did for Quest3D. ;_;
