work - voices
voices is coming along nicely. Finally got it around a turning point, I think, so that the case-sensitive work can begin. I just have to implement something to remove things from the database manually, but after that, should be a lot of fun to leave it running so that people can play with it. My senior project advisor has gotten increasingly excited as it’s come together, because — I guess — she’s starting to see the possibilities with a little more clarity.
Grad apps are… um. Coming. -_- I’m currently sitting outside one of my choice letter-of-recommendation writers… waiting until 2:00, which are the start of his office hours, so I can request of him nicely. Will be able to mail the other envelope out soon enough… maybe this afternoon. (does anyone know how many stamps a manila envelope takes?) Will have to talk to Lloyd about how I should go about procuring a recommendation from him. :x
Unfortunately I have yet to start writing the other stuff… baby steps, though, baby steps! XP At least I think about it in my head. Occasionally. :P
Gotta stop by the store after chamber. But after I get home, I think I’ll just relax and not work today. Been doing plenty of focused thinking for the past few days; I’m very proud of myself. >_>
[edit] Since when is voices good enough to be considered “some of the most interesting work being done in the ICAM department this quarter”? o_o; Brett even talked me into doing a presentation on it in one of his lower division classes during tenth week, as an example of what “senior ICAM students” do with their time… I can’t believe I agreed.
Granted, he asked right after he agreed to do my recs for me, so declining would have made me feel like a heel. But… omgshizcrud. x_x;
